Parker Gill Foundation was happy to donate food for Recovery Awareness Day 2020. This event was a day to spotlight recovery and have good clean fun for people in recovery. All proceeds went to Next Step Recovery Housing, a peer run recovery house that Parker Gill Foundation is proud to support.
Parker Gill Foundation joined with Hope Movement and Natural State Recovery Centers to host the Overdose Awareness Day on August 31, 2020 at the foot bridge at the Clinton Presidential Library. Individuals who lost someone from an overdose joined with people in recovery to bridge the gap between loss of life and recovery, uniting to fight the drug epidemic. Participants honored the lives lost to overdose and shared the hope of recovery as the bridges of Little Rock were lit purple at sunset.
Parker Gill Foundation was proud to donate recovery literature to the UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI). The recovery literature will be made available to individuals seeking treatment and recovery in their institution. This donation was especially meaningful to us because Parker received treatment for his opioid use disorder at the UAMS PRI Center for Addiction Studies and Treatment at one point in his illness.
