The Parker Gill Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization created  in 2019 after our beloved Parker’s unexpected fatal opioid related overdose at just 20 years of age.

Parker struggled for several years with an opioid use disorder. He tried numerous forms of treatment to overcome his disease including residential treatment, intensive outpatient treatment and medication assisted treatment. Parker fought hard but one relapse took away his chance of achieving long-term sustained recovery.

Through the establishment of this Memorial Foundation we hope to end overdose deaths in Arkansas with a combination of prevention and recovery efforts.

We believe the most effective way to prevent opioid-related overdose is through the PREVENTION of substance use and substance use  disorder. Education focused on community settings, collegiate and youth in school and health care settings is critical

to prevention.

We believe in the hope of RECOVERY and that people who have a substance use disorder should have access to

treatment and peer-run, recovery-oriented housing; giving them a safe place in which to pursue the goal of

long-term sustained recovery.
